Low back pain is one of the most common reasons to see a doctor. It is the leading cause of activity limitation and work absence. Out of 291 disease surveyed, The Global Burden of Disease Study ranked lower back pain as the greatest contributor to global disability. There are many causes of lower back pain including: muscle strain, herniated disks, arthritis, spondylosis, bone fractures, ligament strains, sacroiliac joint inflammation, facet joint pathology finding and treating the correct source is important. At One Neuro, we utilize a multitude of treatments including platelet-rich plasma, physical therapy, therapeutic steroid injections, neurofeedback, and if necessary can refer for surgical opinions. Back pain can be debilitating, but we look forward to working with you to be as functional as possible!
Neck pain can be a debilitating problem that will prevent us from performing our daily tasks. There are many reasons for neck pain, but myofascial trigger points (muscle knots) are the most common! We provide treatment directed at the site of pain, with trigger point injections that can break up the painful knots and allow you to return to your activities! Other sources of neck pain include pinched nerves (radiculopathy), arthritis, and herniated disks. We identify the problem and create a treatment plan specific to each patient.
Osteoarthritis is one of the most common medical problems as we age. Thankfully, there are treatments that can help prevent the need for surgery! Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has shown significant benefit in individuals with arthritis in the knee. We can use the body’s own platelet healing properties to relieve pain and even stimulate the body to regrown its own tissue! Rotator cuff tears are very common, but only a minority needs surgical intervention. We can provide non-surgical management with physical therapy and regenerative medicine with platelet-rich plasma to help rehabilitate your functioning.
Many conditions of the hip cause unwanted pain. Arthritis can be uncomfortable and cause constant irritation. Labral tears inside the hip joint often lead to sharp pains. Bursitis of the hip can make it difficult to sleep at night because of sharp pain on the side of the hip. We utilize our multiple treatment approaches to help reduce discomfort and improve quality of life!
Other Painful Conditions
There are many other painful conditions that we treat at One Neuro. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a compression of one’s median nerve at the wrist. It is caused by repetitive use of the hands often in the workplace. This nerve compression causes numbness, tingling, and often pain in the fingers and hands. We can use ultrasound and electrodiagnostic evaluations to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome. We treat carpal tunnel syndrome with steroid and PRP injections in addition to occupational therapy and bracing.
